Jeff Smith and Lisa McKitrick, owners of Boofy’s Best for Pets, know how to keep kitties purring and tails wagging. “We measure success one cat or one dog at a time,” Lisa says. “We see remarkable transformations in health, appearance, and behavior that result from switching to better foods. This is what we do – we help companion animals and their caretakers find quality foods, treats, and chews that really do make a difference in the quality of their lives!”
Lisa’s degree in biology and years of experience in her previous biotech career reinforce the couple’s expertise in helping customers find the right foods for their beloved pets. “We are a nutrition-focused store that offers all-natural, holistic raw, canned, and dry foods, as well as a full line of nutritional supplements,” says Lisa. “We believe any ingredient in dog or cat foods will either add to or take away from the overall health of your companion animal, so we closely review the ingredient panel on every food we bring in.”
Boofy’s also gives back to the community by helping abandoned, surrendered, and abused animals. “We believe every dog and cat deserves a loving home, and an environment in which they can thrive, not just survive,” says Jeff, who previously served on the board for Purrfect Pals, the largest no-kill cat shelter in Washington state. “We work with various rescue organizations to host adoption clinics and fundraising events at our store one or two times per month.”
